Overview

The multidisciplinary team in Mayo Clinic's Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) Clinic has developed a seamless, collaborative approach to the treatment of TED that offers customized and efficient treatment. Patients in the TED Clinic are seen in the morning in individual consultations with physicians in each of the specialties involved. The team of physicians then reviews patients' photographs and laboratory data in a conference. The team assesses disease activity and severity as well as modifiable risk factors. The physicians agree on plans of action, which are then presented to patients in afternoon follow-up visits that same day.
