Enhance Your Body Contour With Liposuction at Mayo Clinic
The board-certified cosmetic surgeons at Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida offer state-of-the-art liposuction treatments in a world-class medical setting. Our team of specialists is dedicated to helping you improve your body contour and eliminate excess fat cells so that you feel confident and look your best.
During your consultation, you will meet with your surgeon and the cosmetic surgery team to discuss your goals and areas of concern. Your surgeon will review all options with you, such as surgical removal of skin and whether weight loss would be in your best interest prior to liposuction. Before and after pictures will be available during your consultation.
Liposuction at Mayo Clinic is performed in a hospital setting using minimally invasive techniques. Available treatments include tumescent liposuction, a method of fat removal using fluid to improve overall results, and Vaser liposuction, an ultrasound liposuction procedure that emulsifies fat and enhances removal. Nonsurgical treatments are also available.

One thing that makes plastic surgery very gratifying is that our results are extremely visible. So we see the effects of our interventions immediately. And the patient sees the results of the intervention immediately and affects them emotionally as well.
So we can really transform lives through the work that we do. Sometimes the procedures that we do are skin-deep, but the effects are not skin-deep. It goes all the way down to the patient's core, to their character, to their spirit.
I've had the privilege of working at several different centers in plastic surgery during my career. And Mayo Clinic is different from every other place that I've experienced. What makes it different is because we are truly patient-focused. And everybody talks about being patient-focused, but nobody practices that quite the way that Mayo Clinic does.
So we spend as much time with the patients as we need to to get to the heart of the problem, come up with a good, effective, rational, individualized plan for the patient that solves their problem. And we see this every single day-- the patients feel a difference when they walk in the door. It's patient-focused from the minute they walk in the door to the minute their care is completed. And that's pervasive through everything that we do.
