Total Laparoscopic PD shows oncologic, quality-of-life benefits
Surgeons have been slow to adopt laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD). Yet studies show no difference in extent of resection or short-term survival compared with open PD, with the added benefits of better pain control and faster recovery.

SNS cuts fecal incontinence symptoms for most patients
A majority of patients with fecal incontinence experience at least a 50 percent reduction in symptoms with sacral nerve stimulation (SNS) � a success rate unmatched by any other treatment option.
