Mayo Clinic's Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic — composed of experts from neurology, medical genetics, genetic counseling, dermatology and nephrology — sees people with symptoms that are suggestive of tuberous sclerosis (TS).
TS is a complex genetic disorder characterized by noncancerous (benign) tumors in many parts of the body, including the skin, brain, kidney and other organs. About half the patients with TS have learning disabilities or developmental delays.
Our experienced team in Mayo Clinic's Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic uses a multispecialty personalized approach to evaluate, diagnose, and treat children and adults with this rare disorder.
