Appointments process — two simple steps

Part of the appointment process for the Pediatric Pain Rehabilitation Center is assessing your needs relative to the care we offer, to ensure that the center provides a good match for your concerns as well as to tailor the course of care you would experience.

Step 1: Initial contact

When you or your provider contacts the center, a patient appointment service specialist and preadmission coordinator will work with you to gather medical information about your symptoms, diagnoses and past medical appointments.

  • If it seems likely the center can meet your needs, we will schedule a preprogram evaluation, which can be in person or virtual.
  • What you share in your evaluation helps us fully understand your concerns and identify which program would best suit your needs. Reviewing all your gathered medical information lets our team more efficiently provide a personalized recommendation.

Step 2: Insurance and scheduling

After you confirm your interest in the recommended program, our team will work to obtain any needed insurance prior authorization and help estimate any out-of-pocket expense you may still incur.

Please contact your insurance if you would like more information about the insurer's copays, deductibles, and so on.

Once any required prior insurance authorization is obtained, the PPRC team will contact you to schedule your program dates.
