How to celebrate cancer milestones
Anniversaries come with big emotions. So it's important to mark them on your terms.
- Reflect a little. Close to an anniversary? Record your feelings. Look at old pictures or journals.
- Plan a special occasion. Whatever that means to you: Plant a tree, paint a canvas, or throw a special party.
- Do something physical. Celebrate physical health with yoga, Pilates, running, dancing or massage.
- Write a letter. Who had your back? Write to them. Or jot some reflections to your pre-cancer self.
- Try something new. A new city. A fresh cuisine. You may appreciate things more as a survivor.
- Give back. Volunteer at a cancer run. Collect funds for an organization you value.
