Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Less common

  1. Bruise
  2. cough
  3. fever
  4. headache
  5. joint swelling
  6. pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones
  7. stuffy or runny nose
  8. tightness of the chest
  9. troubled breathing

Incidence not known

  1. Aggression
  2. bloody, black, or tarry stools
  3. blurred vision
  4. change in vision
  5. chest pain
  6. chills
  7. decreased or uncontrolled urination
  8. difficulty with swallowing
  9. dizziness
  10. fast heartbeat
  11. heartburn
  12. hives, itching, skin rash
  13. hoarseness
  14. incoordination
  15. indigestion
  16. irregular heartbeat
  17. loss of appetite
  18. loss of vision
  19. low blood pressure
  20. lower back or side pain
  21. menstrual changes
  22. mood or behavior changes
  23. muscle or joint stiffness, tightness, or rigidity
  24. muscle weakness
  25. numbness, tingling, pain, or weakness in the hands or feet
  26. painful or difficult urination
  27. paralysis or severe weakness of the legs
  28. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  29. severe and continuing nausea
  30. severe stomach pain, cramping, burning
  31. stiffness of the arms or legs
  32. suppressed growth in children
  33. swelling in the hands and feet
  34. tightness in the chest
  35. uncontrolled bowel movements
  36. uncontrolled movements of the body
  37. unusual tiredness or weakness
  38. unusual warmth or flushing of the skin
  39. vomiting of material that looks like coffee grounds
  40. weight gain
  41. weight loss

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
