Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Abdominal or stomach pain
  2. anxiety or agitation
  3. blurred vision
  4. chills
  5. coughing
  6. diarrhea
  7. difficulty with breathing or swallowing
  8. dizziness
  9. dry mouth
  10. fever
  11. headache
  12. hives, itching, or rash
  13. hoarseness
  14. hyperventilation
  15. irregular heartbeats
  16. irritability
  17. nausea
  18. nervousness
  19. paleness of the skin
  20. pounding in the ears
  21. reddening of the skin, especially around the ears
  22. restlessness
  23. shaking
  24. skin rash, encrusted, scaly, and oozing
  25. slow or fast heartbeat
  26. slow or irregular breathing
  27. swelling of the eyes, face, inside of the nose, or throat
  28. tightness in the chest
  29. vomiting
  30. trouble sleeping
  31. unusual tiredness or weakness

Less common

  1. Chest discomfort
  2. fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  3. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  4. rapid shallow breathing
  5. redness of the skin
  6. redness of the white part of the eyes
  7. swelling of the eyelids

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Difficulty having a bowel movement (stool)
  2. muscle aches
  3. pale skin
  4. sneezing
  5. sore throat
  6. stuffy or runny nose
  7. troubled breathing with exertion
  8. unusual bleeding or bruising

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
