Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Anxiety
  2. belching
  3. bloating
  4. blurred or loss of vision
  5. chills
  6. cold, clammy skin
  7. cold sweat
  8. confusion
  9. dark urine
  10. depression
  11. diarrhea
  12. difficult or painful urination
  13. disturbed color perception
  14. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  15. double vision
  16. dryness or spasm of the throat
  17. feeling of constant movement of self or surroundings
  18. fever
  19. halos around lights
  20. headache
  21. heartburn
  22. increased hunger
  23. indigestion
  24. irregular, fast or slow, or shallow breathing
  25. loss of appetite
  26. nausea
  27. nervousness
  28. night blindness
  29. nightmares
  30. overbright appearance of lights
  31. pain in the stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  32. pain or discomfort in the chest, upper stomach, or throat
  33. pale or blue lips, fingernails, or skin
  34. pressure in the stomach
  35. pounding in the ears
  36. seizures
  37. sensation of spinning
  38. shakiness
  39. sleepiness or unusual drowsiness
  40. slow, fast, or irregular heartbeat
  41. slurred speech
  42. stomach discomfort, upset, or pain
  43. sweating
  44. tunnel vision
  45. unusual tiredness or weakness
  46. vomiting
  47. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Anxiety
  2. blistering, crusting, or irritation of the skin
  3. continuing ringing or buzzing or other unexplained noise in the ears
  4. cracked, dry, scaly skin
  5. dry mouth
  6. early menstrual periods
  7. face is warm or hot to touch
  8. false or unusual sense of well-being
  9. general feeling of discomfort or illness
  10. hearing loss
  11. hiccups
  12. increased appetite
  13. increased in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  14. increased interest in sexual intercourse
  15. irritability
  16. lack or loss of strength
  17. redness of the face
  18. restlessness
  19. skin rash, itching, redness, hives, swelling
  20. swelling of the breasts or breast soreness in both females and males
  21. trouble sleeping
  22. twitching, twisting, uncontrolled repetitive movements of the tongue, lips, face, arms, or legs
  23. watering of the eyes
