Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Body aches or pain
  2. chest tightness
  3. chills
  4. cough
  5. difficulty in breathing
  6. ear congestion
  7. fever
  8. headache
  9. hoarseness
  10. loss of voice
  11. muscle aches
  12. pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones
  13. runny or stuffy nose
  14. sneezing
  15. sore throat
  16. trouble in swallowing
  17. unusual tiredness or weakness

Less common

  1. Black, tarry stools
  2. bladder pain
  3. blemishes on the skin
  4. bloody or cloudy urine
  5. burning, itching, and pain in hairy areas, pus at the root of the hair
  6. chest pain or tightness
  7. cough producing mucus
  8. difficult, burning, or painful urination
  9. frequent urge to urinate
  10. itching of the vagina or outside genitals
  11. lower back or side pain
  12. pain, redness, or swelling in the arm or leg
  13. pain during sexual intercourse
  14. pains in the chest, groin, or legs, especially calves of the legs
  15. pale skin
  16. pimples
  17. severe headaches of sudden onset
  18. stomach pain
  19. sudden loss of coordination
  20. sudden onset of slurred speech
  21. sudden vision changes
  22. thick, white curd-like vaginal discharge without odor or with mild odor
  23. trouble breathing
  24. unusual bleeding or bruising

Rare

  1. Anxiety
  2. burning or stinging of the skin
  3. coughing or spitting up blood
  4. dizziness or lightheadedness
  5. increased weight
  6. night sweats
  7. painful blisters on the trunk of body
  8. painful cold sores or blisters on the lips, nose, eyes, or genitals
  9. sudden high fever or low-grade fever for months

Incidence not known

  1. Chest discomfort
  2. confusion
  3. difficulty in speaking
  4. double vision
  5. inability to move the arms, legs, or facial muscles
  6. inability to speak
  7. large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
  8. nausea
  9. no blood pressure or pulse
  10. pain or discomfort in the arms, jaw, back or neck
  11. persistent non-healing sore
  12. pink growth
  13. reddish patch or irritated area
  14. shiny bump
  15. stopping of heart
  16. sweating
  17. unconsciousness
  18. white, yellow, or waxy scar-like area
