Craving fried food? Bake instead!

Lighten up your favorite fried foods by using your oven instead of your frying pan.

Crab cakes

  1. Add 16 ounces crab meat
  2. Add 3 tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
  3. Add 2 egg whites
  4. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  5. Add 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  6. Add 2 teaspoons fresh dill
  7. Add 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  8. Add 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  9. Bake 20 minutes at 350 F

Butternut squash fries

  1. Cut 1 butternut squash into sticks
  2. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. Add 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (such as rosemary and thyme)
  4. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. Bake 15 to 25 minutes at 425 F

Coconut shrimp

  1. Add 1/4 cup sweetened coconut
  2. Add 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. Process until smooth
  5. Place 1/2 cup coconut milk in another small bowl
  6. Coat shrimp in coconut milk and panko mixture
  7. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 375 F
