Biographical summary
Sean P. Templeman, O.D., is a Senior Associate Consultant. He is an optometrist dedicated to providing the highest level of care for the ocular health and wellbeing of patients at Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Templeman has a particular focus and interest in myopia control. This involves the study and implementation of treatments that slow the progression of worsening near-sightedness (myopia) in children and adolescents. He also contributes to the pediatric and retina sub-specialty care teams.
Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, Dr. Templeman provided eyecare on the medical staff of the Minnesota Timberwolves while practicing in Minneapolis. He attended Marquette University for undergraduate studies, followed by optometry school in Boston, and residency training in the Boston Area.
