Biographical summary
Sachin M. Mehta, M.D., is board-certified in Internal Medicine with experience in Hospital Medicine. He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine for Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
Dr. Mehta attended Boston University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in History. He later attended medical school at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. Dr. Mehta completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at BaylorScott&White Medical Center in Temple, TX. He then worked as an academic hospitalist at BaylorScott&White before moving to the Phoenix area where he would eventually work as a Lead Hospitalist at a community hospital before joining Mayo Clinic in 2021.
Dr. Mehta enjoys providing evidence-based and compassionate patient care, medical education, quality improvement, healthcare advocacy, and working with administration to facilitate positive changes. He was a member of the Executive Council for the Texas Medical Association and participated in advocacy events at the state Capitol. Dr. Mehta currently sits on multiple committees at Mayo Clinic and is heavily involved in Society of Hospital Medicine.
