Sagar Dugani M.D., Ph.D., is a general internal medicine practitioner with a focus on hospital internal medicine. His clinical focus includes:

  • Managing complex chronic medical and psychosocial conditions
  • Coordinating care in hospitalized patients during and after their hospitalization
  • Advocating for hospitalized patients to receive timely care during and after their hospitalization
  • Collaborating with interprofessional and interdisciplinary colleagues to provide personalized care to hospitalized patients
  • Empowering hospitalized patients to transition to healthier lifestyle options during and after their hospitalization

In addition to clinical activities, Dr. Dugani is active in research and education, providing mentorship to residents and clinical fellows. Dr. Dugani's research focuses on disparities in care of diabetes mellitus and heart disease, and has active collaborations with researchers in the United States, Canada, Middle East, and India. His work has been published in high-impact scientific journals.
