Biographical summary
Chandler Dora, M.D., joined the Faculty of Mayo Clinic in Florida after 13 years of private practice in the state. He brings a patient-centered approach that is a natural fit with the Mayo values. Dr. Dora prides himself in personalized care and carefully listening to the patient's main concerns and treatment goals prior to embarking on diagnostic testing or surgical intervention. Dr. Dora's expertise includes medical and surgical management of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HOLEP), management of complex BPH and stone cases, and management of male urinary symptoms. In addition to patient care, Dr. Dora also participates in research on BPH and HOLEP and stays current on topics and trends in BPH and stone disease.
Dr. Dora is the department lead for the U.S. News and World Report Ranking Committee and the Ask Mayo Expert Urology Knowledge Content Board. He has been a long term member of the American Urological Association and the Florida Urological Society.
Dr. Dora received his M.D. degree from the University of Miami, School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and residency in the Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
