Biographical summary
Gregory S. Day, M.D., is a neurologist, with special interest in the diagnosis and management of Alzheimer disease and related causes of dementia. He has additional expertise in the evaluation and treatment of patients with the following rare conditions:
- Rapidly progressive dementia
- Autoimmune (inflammatory) encephalitis
- Reversible causes of dementia
- Early-onset dementia
In addition to clinical work, Dr. Day is active in clinical research. He conducts observational studies and clinical trials in Alzheimer disease, rapidly progressive dementia, autoimmune encephalitis, and autoimmune-causes of cognitive impairment. He has authored more than 70 indexed scientific publications, and is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology where he serves on a number of committees focused on improving neurology practice. His research is sponsored by the National Institute on Aging, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, Alzheimer's Association, and Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative.
