Physicians in the Department of Radiology perform RF ablation. Physicians in General Surgery, Hematology/Oncology and Radiation Oncology may also be involved in evaluating potential candidates for RF ablation with regard to other treatment options (surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy). Physicians in Gastroenterology and Hepatology are often involved in the care of patients who have liver-based cancers.
