Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

  1. Bone pain
  2. pain in the arms or legs

Incidence not known

  1. Back pain
  2. black, tarry stools
  3. bleeding gums
  4. blood in the urine or stools
  5. blue lips, fingernails, or skin
  6. blurred vision
  7. change in the amount of urine
  8. chest pain or tightness
  9. chills
  10. cloudy or bloody urine
  11. cough
  12. difficult or fast breathing
  13. difficulty swallowing
  14. dizziness
  15. eye pain
  16. fainting or lightheadedness
  17. fast heartbeat
  18. feeling of fullness
  19. fever
  20. fever sores on the skin
  21. general feeling of discomfort or illness
  22. headache
  23. hives, itching, skin rash
  24. lower back or side pain
  25. nausea
  26. nervousness
  27. pain spreading to the left shoulder
  28. painful or difficult urination
  29. pale skin
  30. pinpoint red spots on the skin
  31. pounding in the ears
  32. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  33. redness of the skin
  34. slow or fast heartbeat
  35. sore throat
  36. sores, welts, or blisters
  37. stomach pain
  38. swelling of the hands, ankles, feet, or lower legs
  39. trouble breathing
  40. ulcers or white spots on the lips or in the mouth
  41. unusual bleeding or bruising
  42. unusual tiredness or weakness

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

  1. Bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of the skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, ulceration, or warmth at the injection site
